FA (Faculty of Arts) is the Intermediate (HSSC, classes 11-12) humanities stream, the Inter-level continuation of the Matric Arts route. Students combine the compulsory subjects with electives such as Education, Civics, History, Economics and Sociology, choosing a set that fits their interests and the offerings of their board. FA is the common pathway towards BA degrees, teaching, law, journalism, social sciences and civil-service preparation, and is available across FBISE and the provincial BISEs. It suits students who write fluently, enjoy reading and prefer discursive subjects to laboratory work.
